Versatile Picosecond-Nanosecond Q-Switched System

Smartpico delivers versatile treatment capability with four distinct emission modalities: picosecond, nanosecond, double-pulse, and thermal modes. The dual-wavelength 532/1064nm system with variable spot sizes enables treatment of tattoos, pigmented lesions, melasma, acne scars, and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. The sequential treatment strategy minimizes thermal side effects while maximizing pigment clearance, making Smartpico ideal for diverse dermatological applications.

ACCESSORIES

Smartpico’s flexible accessory system supports a wide range of pigmentation and tattoo removal applications. Variable spot sizes and specialized handpieces enable customized treatment protocols for optimal clinical outcomes across all applications.

The Science Behind

The multi-modal approach enables clinicians to apply picosecond pulses initially for photoacoustic fragmentation of target pigment, followed by nanosecond pulses for complementary thermal fragmentation. This sequential strategy optimizes pigment clearance while minimizing thermal injury to surrounding tissue.
By combining different pulse durations and modes, Smartpico achieves high efficacy with minimal thermal side effects. Picosecond pulses create mechanical fragmentation with limited heat generation, while selective thermal application is reserved for specific therapeutic goals.
532nm and 1064nm wavelengths provide complementary absorption characteristics for different pigment types. 532nm targets red and brown pigments while 1064nm reaches deeper target structures, enabling comprehensive treatment of complex pigmentation patterns.
